05/05 HERSHAM SCOUTS DONATION
"1st Hersham Troop B" are active supporters of The Team. In May 2007 they made a significant donation towards a new Casualty Bag for our stretcher which they themselves donated a significant amount of money towards.

05/08 Garage Opening
The Chief Constable of North Wales Police arrived to open our new garage. Along with other dignatories, he had a tour round base and listened in on a real rescue that occured in the early afternoon.

06/11 HOW MUCH TIME?
The approximate man hours per year have been added to the incidents page. The figures are a minimum as in many cases the data for duration of rescue or number of people attendig is not available. These figures are also only for callouts where the team was committed to the hill. Standbys are not included.

Forty Years and still going strong
The Team is celebrating its fortieth year. We recently had a day of presentations at Oggi Base for those members who had done either 25 or 40 years service.

150 current and ex-members and partners gathered at the Tyn-y-Coed in Capel Curig for an evening of reminiscing and the odd drink.

02/05 SCOUTS VISIT AND DONATION
About 20 Members of the 1st Hersham Scout Troop, Walton-On-Thames, Surrey visited Oggi Base on May 2nd to present the Team with a rather large cheque for the purchase of equipment. Here are some pictures

A group of TA medics had a reunion at Oggi Base before their next assignment. 22 Sqdn. attended to show them around the aircraft. members of 333 where also present.

07/07 FOOT and MOUTH
Snowdonia is almost completely open to the public. Guidelines are still in place so we would be most grateful if they could be respected. The park and ride scheme is still operating for Snowdon but Ogwen is open to all

New Landrover
OVMRO took delivery of a new Landrover as replacement for our previous vehicle. The Landrover was purchased through very generous funding from Safeways and HM Bennetts who ran a promotion selling Welsh Mountain Lamb. The landrover is a customised 130 vehicle that was specially fitted out for use by Frog.

17/09 Welsh 3000 Challenge
Earlier in the year a funding raising event was run and here are the photos and reports from the day. Many thanks to Tim for organising the event and to all of those who took part
23/07 BBC Program Transmission Date
The proposed transmission date of the program featuring the team, its members and the the work it does has been set to 23 Aug 2000 at about 10:15pm.
22/06 Annual Report 1999
The Teams Annual Report has now been published and is available in local climbing shops.
25/05 BBC Film News
The BBC have taken delivery of the film shot over the last year. A screening date has yet to be decided but it is hoped that this will be during the summer. Several team members have had a preview showing to check accuracy.
04/04 First Aid
Issue 4 of the Continuation Training log is now available for download, covering the period 1 June - 30 Sep
31/03 Party Leader Scheme
The team is aiming to run another Party Leader Scheme later this year and needs about 6 candidates for it. So if you feel that you can meet the requirements and have loads of enthusiasm then contact Chris Onions.

Party Leader Training criteria include:

> High degree of operational availability
> Willingness to take on some operational responsibility
> Willingness to organise team training events
> High amount of recent operation experience, typically about 80 rescues/searches over the last four year period.

12/03 Team assist with photo-shoot for Fire & Rescue Magazine
Several team members assisted in shooting photos for Fire and Rescue Magazine, who were spending several days with C Flt 22 Sqn. First aid and technical stretcher work were demonstrated as the photographer clicked away
